I made an 'A' in Systematic Biblical Doctrine! Hicks told me I needed a 150 out of 150 to make an 'A' - I must have done it! I still have no idea what pre-post-a-destilled millennial-ism - I must have bs'ed that one really well. Because of all of the arguing and crap that goes on about it, I would rather not know if any 'theories' and just know that Jesus is coming back, enough said. Maybe my faith is too simple.

I'm so excited that I got an 'A'!

Tomorrow, I have Art History and Deuteronomy and then I'll be a senior! I have an 'A' in art already, and so I'm not stressing it as much as I should be - I'm ok with a high B - and I've taken OT exe with Camp - he has done his worst already!

Thursday I am moving in with Katie - I'll have a real kitchen! I can't wait to cook for real again!

Decided on wedding reception food - we are doing a dessert buffet:

Wedding Cake (yellow, whipped buttercream icing, yellow ribbon on bottom of each of four layers, Gerber daisies decorating)

Groom's Cake: Chocolate with D&D something - (bless his heart) (hey - I want my own cake, too!)

Key Lime Tarts with Raspberry Sauce

Zucchini Bread (mainly because I'm craving it and we registered for a bread maker)

Sugar-free something (sugar problems are rampant in guest list, and sugar is rampant in the reception)

Dulche de Leche fondue

platter: fresh fruit (pineapple, straw/rasp/berries, mandarin oranges, pears, grapes), peanut butter fudge, cinnamon nuts, and cheese cubes (cheese is for Paul)

Paul is also determined to have pigs in a blanket - we'll see if he can figure out how to make them. He makes them, they can come. But they will be clearly labeled as 'Paul's pigs-in-a-blanket' Haha -

Sherbet cups with mint and strawberry garnish

Rugelach (Russian fruit pastry)

I am doing the cakes and food - I'm so excited! They are fairly simple, elegant recipes and easy to do several days before hand - beware! I may ask to use your fridge!

This has really reaffirmed my desire to open my own cafe someday - its something that I've always wanted to do. I love food, and I love sharing my gift with those around me

I have the most wonderful flower girl in the world named 'Faith'! She is the little girl I will be babysitting for this summer - I can't wait! There are so many things to look forward to!

I should study -

May your head be lifted, as mine has been -

We're getting married at Donelson Church of Christ! Paul and I went to check it out today and it was absolutley perfect! There is a smaller chapel that we are planning to use - and because we go to Green Street, we were able to get the member's price! Two hundred dollars to get married in a church we don't go to! The next lowest price we found was Shamblin Theatre at five hundred, the next was nine hundred to a thousand. How wonderful! We also picked up the wedding invitations today (we are doing them ourselves, like we did the engagement announcements - which, by the way, I got for eighteen dollars! And they look GREAT!). Back to invitations - they are beautiful, handmade paper made of flowers with ribbons - so pretty!

Everything is falling together so well!

I have a bridal shower on the 27th (Dead Day) and I am searching for addresses! If you are in town, let me know, and send your address! Panty Party!

I am so very ready for this semester to be over. I have lots of papers to write, and dont' want to do them. I am also ready to be finished with school, period, but I'm not sure what I'd do if I would - so carry on.

May you be filled with this excitement and hope, lovelace

What I learned from Boone in Astronomy this semester

"This is called a crab nebula, because it looks like a crab, okay?" 1-17-06

"I might have a bad spot in my eye, okay, from looking at the sun, okay?" 2-28-06

(About Pleades) "You can only see six of the seven sisters because the seventh was a naughty little girl, okay?" 3-16-06

"The Sun is a...STAR!" 2-28-06

"This happened in the 90's - some of you may not have been born yet then, okay?" 4-4-06

"Which is larger, a penny or a dime?" 1-24-06

"I like to play with tops." 3-16-06

"See that dark part, okay? It's representing what that is." 1-31-06

"You'll be pretty constant for about forty years and then you'll start to sag and bulge a bit." 2-28-06

(About a meteor)"It's a big rock, okay? If I went over to pick it up, I'd grunt real hard, okay?" 3-16-06

"4.3 x 10^-12 kinda equals one." 3-2-06

"Uh. I need to draw" 4-13-06

"Oh, Bingo! Okay?" 4-11-06

(Talking about March of the Penguins that came out this past summer...yes, I mean to write pigeons) "If we could train those pigeons to look for rocks, okay, we'd have alot of meteorites" 3-30-06

The Witch of Cologne

So, I'm itching to dye my hair. Itching is a bad word for it (ick) but 'dying to dye' sounded stupid, and 'want to dye' doesn't convey the urgency. It is Saturday at 8:22 am and nobody (at least none of whom I desperately want to piss off) is awake at this God awful hour of this glorious day. So, to Kroger? Well, I'm in my pajama's (ooo Ella Fitzgerald) - that's a sign to call the whole thing off. I'll dye my hair another day. No day but today. I have got to stop letting what song pops into my head make decisions for me. But, its easier than deciding myself...

I chose my topic for the 6 page (I know, I know not bad - i just dont want to do it) Art History paper - Georgia O'Keefe. (No song was involved, just glancing slightly to my left at the Georgia O'Keefe day planner). If any of you artsy people out there know of any good books to help (or a better topic) let me know!

Went back and read excerpts of 'Winter of Our Discontent' (Steinbeck) because of the Easter weekend thoughts in it, that truly, I am much too sensitive to.

OOO - bought The Producers soundtrack off Amazon - was pissed at first because they sent me the movie soundtrack instead of the Broadway sndtrk. But then I remembered that Will Ferrell was in the movie, and that he was born to play a Nazi. I feel much better about my mishap.

So, I wrote a letter to 'a particular dean or two' about the abomination that our astronomy class has become. He blew me off. Grr to being the only one to write!

I am reading 'The Witch of Cologne', which is not as good as I'd hoped. It is ok for modern lit. But not great. I tore off the front and back covers because I thought they were vulgar and inappropriate for the time and place represented. I make every effort to make my library my own (smile)

Last night, I had 'Lacey-time' - the mark of an introvert. I get to the point where I just cannot function - I have no more words - I have nothing sweet or of interest to say or do. Have you ever had a mean experience with Lacey? It came during this time. It's strange - I just have to be by myself and establish my world again. What was nice about this time was that Paul noticed at dinner that I needed time to myself before I ever told him (which, granted, when I stop speaking and Lucky Charms dribble out of my mouth while I stare at the sky - that's a pretty clear sign). Had a beautiful night with a sinful amount of sleep and reading. And I can't wait to see the people I love! (So, WAKE UP!)
